Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a program created by Dr. Marsha Linehan that is clinically proven to help individuals cultivate important coping skills that can alleviate suicidal ideation, reduce self-harm, anxiety, depression, and more.
This DBT group runs continuously in 8 week segments. After spending two sessions reviewing mindfulness, each segment rotates through three modules: distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. You will also have access to individual therapy and a phone coaching line for after-hours help!
Begins January 8th, 2025, in person
every Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:30 PM for
adults ages 18+. If you are new to Potomac Psychological Center, an initial intake is required before admission into the group.
Many aspects of the program are covered by insurance, for any questions about pricing please contact group facilitators Dr. McKenna O'Shea and Matthew Buban, LCSW at 703-858-7838.
